Within the frame of ISIDORe (grant agreement No. 101046133), EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC collaborates with external partners: i) the Biomedical Research Foundation, Academy of Athens (BRFAA) (GR) to undertake biomolecular interaction studies, develop novel biochemical/ molecular assays and surface (bio)functionalization techniques or optimize/modify existing ones, ii) the Joanneum Research (JR) (AT) to implement innovative products and services (e.g., structured (biomimetic) surfaces, large-scale production of organic layers (roll-to-roll, screen printing), aerosol and inkjet printing) towards the development of microfluidic devices for numerous and diverse applications (distinguishing viral variants based on nucleic acids and serological testing to name but a few) and iii) the Joint Research Center of European Commission (JRC) to develop and/or characterize new diagnostic devices for pathogens detection.
Please find below links to the web pages of the participating institutes:
New ISIDORe open calls for proposals are advertised on the project website: https://isidore-project.eu/calls/
‘How to apply’ and eligibility criteria can be found at https://isidore-project.eu/calls/#how-to-apply and https://isidore-project.eu/calls/#eligibility, respectively.
For information and support during the application process please contact the ISIDORe team at contact@isidore-project.eu and/or the EU-OPENSCREEN team at scientificprojects@eu-openscreen.eu.
Full applications are submitted to EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC and managed via ARIA (please login or register an aria account at https://apply.eu-openscreen.eu/)
Full applications can be submitted at https://apply.eu-openscreen.eu/submit-call/diagnostic-services-isidore.
Applicants commit to having obtained legal and ethical consent regarding their research, their samples and/ or their data prior to submitting their application.
Applicants must agree to comply with the access, IP and dissemination policies described in the statutes of EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC (available at https://www.euopenscreen.eu/fileadmin/user_upload/newsroom_and_downloads/201210_Statutes_V3_FINAL.pdf), if applicable.
Applicants must agree to comply with the EU-OPENSCREEN privacy policy and terms of submission (available at https://drive.eu-openscreen.eu/index.php?id=137).
The review process of applications consists of two evaluation steps (1. technical and 2. scientific). The application will remain strictly confidential throughout the review process. Reviewers will be bound by a non-disclosure agreement.
Two independent external experts will evaluate the scientific excellence of the proposal. The innovation potential and gender aspects of the project-specific research questions and methods will also be considered. The technical feasibility will be assessed by the ISIDORe diagnostic experts of interest. Herein, technical reviewers will assess whether appropriate resources for the technical implementation of the projects are available at the sites.
